PETITION FOR JUSTICE AND FAIRNESS IN KOSOFE. THERE WAS NO PRIMARY ELECTION IN KOSOFE AND A CANDIDATE ANNOUNCED HIMSELF WINNER

PETITION AGAINST THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS FOR A PRIMARY ELECTION THAT DID NOT TAKE PLACE

We, the undersigned party members, stakeholders, and concerned constituents of Kosofe Federal Constituency, wish to express our deep concern regarding the announcement of results and declaration of a winner for the House of Representatives primary election despite widespread reports that no such primary election was conducted.

The announcement of election figures that cannot be independently verified raises serious questions about the credibility, transparency, and integrity of the process. Democratic institutions and political parties derive their legitimacy from adherence to due process, fairness, and accountability. Any action that undermines these principles risks eroding public confidence and weakening the trust of party members and constituents.

At a time when citizens are seeking leaders who are committed to service, justice, and the rule of law, it is essential that all electoral processes are conducted in a manner that is transparent, credible, and beyond reproach.

We therefore respectfully call on the appropriate party authorities to thoroughly investigate this matter, clarify the circumstances surrounding the declaration, and take all necessary steps to uphold the integrity of the party’s democratic processes.

The credibility of our party and the confidence of the people we seek to represent depend on transparency, accountability, and fairness. Anything less falls short of the standards expected of a democratic institution.
